Could be so, because a recent research conducted by the Department of Psychology, Texas A and M University indicates the same.
According to this study, the sexual urge in a man is so strong that they get tempted to fall for another woman who is not their legal wife.
All these days’ people only assumed that the “sexual impulses” drive men to get infidel with their spouses. Now this thought is actually supported by strong scientific research made on the subject by a renowned University of the World.
The basis of research
The research is based on communicating with people about their eel life experiences. The researchers spoke to the participants and interacted on their past experiences. A rapid test was conducted on their view by showing pictures of good and not so good looking people belonging to the opposite gender.
Number of men falling for other women was remarkably higher in compared to women.
The common belief
All these days’ people thought that the capacity to lose control fast is quite prominent in men and hence they fail to discriminate between a legal physical relation and an illegal one.
And the issue does not get restricted to “legality” rather it is more to do with being ethical to your partner.
Lack of self-control
Men and women probably possess the same amount of “self-control”, however when it comes to using or exerting the same men lag behind. As a result there is more number of “infidelity” cases accruing amongst men folk than women folk.
Other studies conducted on the subject
In a similar study it was deduced that a man is more prone to feel an urge for sex than a woman. In fact, they may have the same urge, but, woman behaves more rationally than a man. The tendency of having less of control makes a man slip off faster and sooner than his female counterpart.
Possible changes in the situation
This kind of a study can see a different result if men can exert control on their sexual wishes. It is natural to have one, but to be ethical and rational about the same is an important task to keep the social machinery in place.
Probably, self-control and commitment is the key to such happenings in our society. So, one may like various people one comes across, one may get infatuated too, but, it is required to ensure that you restrict from getting physically involved with too many people, rather any other person beyond your own spouse.
Slipping off on an occasion is an error, but, getting infidel is certainly a betrayal to your family and especially your spouse who have trusted you. A society has its own norms which keep relationships in place; in the absence of any ethic it would not be possible to maintain a sound society. And it quite evident with the growing number of infidelity cases around.
